Our Why

Sometimes you’re looking for something specific. And sometimes, while looking for it, you discover something you didn’t even realize you were missing.

Enchanting Emporium began because we couldn’t always find the things we were looking for.

The right tools. The right materials. Something connected to a particular tradition, place, season, practice, or way of seeing the world.

Some things could be found in New Orleans. Others in New York, on a farm, in a little shop, or through someone with a connection to a place and tradition far away.

So we started gathering.

We’re not trying to be Amazon for magical and spiritual things. You may not get everything tomorrow—and that's okay.

Many of the things we offer come through small businesses, family businesses, makers, growers, and communities with long-standing relationships to the people, places, and traditions behind what they provide.

Sometimes there’s a story attached.

Sometimes you hear a tradition calling you.

Sometimes something simply catches your eye. And sometimes your fingers seem to have a mind of their own. We call those Velcro fingers. You pick something up. You try to put it down. And somehow… it sticks.Maybe it needs to come home with you. Or maybe it just wanted you to notice it. Either way, follow your curiosity.

Find what you're looking for.

Maybe you're looking for a particular tool.

Maybe you're looking for something to begin a practice, deepen one, or explore something that has been calling to you.

Maybe you're following a question—or discovering the question underneath the question.

Maybe you're looking for your North Star.

Maybe you're looking for your tribe.

And maybe you don't know what you're looking for yet.

That's okay.

Come explore. Play. Learn. Question. Practice. Connect. Shop.

• Enchanting Emporium is growing into a community where different paths, traditions, beliefs, practices, and perspectives can meet with curiosity and respect.

The shop is our first step—the tools from the toolbox.

There is more to come.

For now, wander around. Follow the whispers. See what finds you.

You may find a tool. You may find a tradition. You may find a new question. You may find your people. You may even find something you didn't know you were looking for.

And sometimes, you find your way home.

We're glad you're here.

Come visit us for a spell.
